Native Garden Design

A plan that fits your yard, not a template

We start by walking your property together — looking at sun, soil, drainage, and what's already there. Then we draw up a planting plan by hand, showing you exactly what goes where and why. Every plant is chosen for your specific conditions and for what it does for the local ecosystem.

What's included

  • On-site consultation and soil assessment
  • Hand-drawn planting plan with plant key
  • Species list with care notes for each plant
  • Phasing recommendations if you want to spread it out
  • One revision round included

Good for

Homeowners who want to understand their yard before anything gets dug up.

Installation

We do the digging, you get the garden

Full installation of native plantings and limestone hardscape — paths, steps, dry-stacked walls, and rain gardens. We source plants from regional nurseries and stone from local quarries. Everything is installed by hand, without heavy equipment wherever possible, to protect your soil structure.

What's included

  • Site prep and bed preparation
  • Native plant installation per approved plan
  • Limestone path, step, or wall construction
  • Mulching and initial watering setup
  • Walkthrough and care guide on completion day

Good for

Anyone ready to stop mowing and start growing something worth looking at.

Seasonal Care

We keep it going after we leave

Native gardens need less maintenance than lawns — but they do need some. We offer seasonal visits to cut back last year's growth, divide spreading plants, pull invasives before they take hold, and make sure everything is set up for the next season. We also do one-time consultations if you just need a second opinion on what's happening in your beds.

What's included

  • Spring cutback and cleanup
  • Invasive species removal
  • Plant division and bed editing
  • Fall prep and seed head preservation
  • Written notes after each visit

Good for

Clients who installed with us and want to keep the momentum going.

The process

How it usually goes

Every project is different, but the shape of how we work is pretty consistent. Here's what to expect from first contact to finished garden.

1

You reach out

Fill out the consultation form or give us a call. Tell us what you're working with — even a rough description helps.

2

We walk the yard

Free on-site visit. We look at the space together, talk through what you want, and ask a lot of questions about how you use the yard.

3

You get a plan

Hand-drawn planting plan and a written proposal. No pressure to move forward — the plan is yours to keep either way.

4

We get to work

Once you're ready, we schedule installation. Most residential projects take one to three days depending on scope.

5

You've got a garden

We walk through everything on completion day and leave you with a care guide. We're also a phone call away if something comes up.

Not sure which service you need?

Most people start with a design consultation. We'll figure out the rest from there.
